TechFlow news: The preseason of Web3 dark fantasy game "SERAPH: In the Darkness" has officially launched. Invested and incubated by Korean gaming giant Actoz Soft, the game inherits core gameplay mechanics from classic dark fantasy titles while introducing AI companions, multiplayer teaming, and PVP leaderboards—integrating various MMO elements to enhance playability and social interaction.
Seraph's preseason will formally begin on April 19, featuring a two-month test period on the Arbitrum One chain. Players must use activation codes to participate. Notably, most in-game assets earned during this phase will carry over, and the game’s contribution value system will officially go live.
According to Seraph’s official team, this preseason introduces several new features and proposes a novel Web3 gaming economic model, allowing players to earn future token airdrops through contribution-based scoring. New functionalities include Treasure NFTs, an NFT equipment leasing system, and equipment safety locks—designed to safeguard player assets and enable Web2 players to experience core Web3 gameplay via fiat-based rental systems, helping users better integrate into and drive the growth of the in-game economic ecosystem.
To date, Seraph has successfully completed three testing phases, establishing foundational loot-drop mechanics typical of dark fantasy games, improving class balance, and significantly refining the affix attribute system for gear beyond traditional dark fantasy titles.
Tobin, CEO of Seraph Studio, stated that through continuous testing and expanded community collaboration, the team aims not only to establish a mature blockchain gaming benchmark within the Web3 space but also to build a free and open economic system. "Bringing GameFi back to gaming itself," said Tobin. A player-centric, enjoyable, and fair gaming world might truly herald a new chapter for Web3 games.
