TechFlow reports that the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) has issued a statement strictly prohibiting the use of cryptocurrencies for payments or investments. Fijian residents may face criminal charges even for using funds held domestically in Fiji to invest in overseas cryptocurrencies. The statement said the RBF has not authorized any individual or entity to provide cryptocurrency investment or virtual asset trading services.
