TechFlow news, according to blockchain explorer Mempool data, Bitcoin mining difficulty has increased by nearly 4%, reaching a new all-time high. This marks the final adjustment before the upcoming halving event.
The difficulty adjustment occurred at block height 838,656, reaching a record high of 86.39 trillion. Bitcoin miners appear to be ramping up their hashpower in preparation for next week's block subsidy reduction, when the reward will drop from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.
In addition, Bitcoin's hash rate has also hit a new record high of 629.75 EH/s.
