TechFlow reports that FarmTrack, a startup in the Web3 livestock management space, has announced the use of NFTs on the Solana blockchain to track and tokenize livestock.
The company successfully implemented its first pilot test at a cattle farm in Bandar Baru, Malaysia, in collaboration with Rimaunangis SDN BHD from Malaysia, Farming Online FZ LLC from the UAE, and RXT Digital from Hong Kong.
This innovative tagging system assigns a unique NFT to each cow, containing key information such as the animal's age, breed, health records, and ownership history—all securely stored on the blockchain. The initial test involved tagging 100 cows to evaluate the system's effectiveness.
