TechFlow reports, citing Caixin, that in the Blue Sky Green Grain illegal fundraising case involving 43 billion yuan, less than 5% of the funds are expected to be recovered domestically. UK police have currently seized 61,000 bitcoins, and a hearing on criminal proceeds will be held in September 2024.
According to public-source research by Caixin, successful cross-border asset recovery cases in China are extremely rare. Moreover, under international practice, asset sharing is the primary method for handling confiscated assets. The Department of International Cooperation at China's Ministry of Justice responded that it does not have specific details on the case and cannot disclose information.
