He stated this would make accessing DeFi in the EU difficult for less tech-savvy users, and might even push European DeFi into a "stone age." However, others note that this decision may stem from the 2023 Financial Action Task Force (FATF) guidelines, and are calling on national regulators to proceed cautiously and possibly refrain from blindly following these rules.
