TechFlow reports that Binance Charity will airdrop up to $1 million worth of BNB to users affected by the earthquake in Taiwan. The impacted area is Hualien County. Users who have completed KYC or POA verification will directly receive $120 worth of BNB, while those completing POA between April 5 and April 20 will receive $25 worth of BNB. Funds are expected to be distributed starting April 8, 2024. Blockchain and cryptocurrency offer new avenues for charitable donations, enabling faster, lower-cost, and more transparent giving. Binance encourages users unaffected by the earthquake to pass on their donations to those truly in need.
