TechFlow news — digital product platform Legitimate has raised $4.3 million in seed funding, led by Lemniscap, with participation from Draper Associates, Sfermion Factor VC, and angel investors including VERBAL and Jeff Miyahara.
Legitimate enables brands to embed various digital content into their physical products via Legitimate's LGT tags, including exclusive audio and video, text, digital collectibles, mobile apps, and more.
Founded by Web3 veteran Calvin Chan, who previously held multiple product engineering roles at Skillshare and built decentralized ownership and trading protocols on the Ethereum blockchain at AirSwap/Fluidity (later acquired by ConsenSys). Daniel Duan is co-founder and CTO of Legitimate, having held senior engineering positions at companies such as GOAT, WeWork, Squarespace, and IBM.
