TechFlow news: Aavegotchi founder CoderDan stated on X that "Pixelcraft Studios, the development team behind Aavegotchi, briefly hired the individual responsible for the Munchables attack to perform some game development work in 2022. His technical skills were quite crude—definitely felt like a North Korean hacker—and we fired him within a month. He also tried to get us to hire one of his friends, who was likely another hacker."
"At the time, Pixelcraft Studios conducted several video calls with him, though we didn't record them. We're unsure if Google internally archived all the video calls, but this hacker did show his face during those calls," he added.
In addition, CoderDan has provided Munchables team with the address the hacker commonly used while employed at Pixelcraft Studios, hoping these clues could help Munchables recover the stolen funds.
