TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, with the upcoming Bitcoin halving, U.S. mining companies are not only continuously purchasing new mining rigs to expand their computing power but are also disposing of their older models.
About 6,000 old Bitcoin mining machines will soon be idled and sent to a warehouse in Colorado Springs, where they will be refurbished and resold to overseas buyers hoping to profit from mining in low-cost environments.
Some U.S. miners choose not to sell their hardware but instead relocate the equipment to regions with lower electricity costs or to third-party data centers.
