TechFlow news, on March 25, the Web3 professional esports tournament MATR1X FIRE Asia Masters, jointly organized by Web3 entertainment platform MATR1X and the Global Esports Development Association (GEDA), crowned champions across three regional divisions. FR emerged as champions in the Japan-Korea division, QTG won the Greater China B division, while 24K claimed victory in the Southeast Asia division. The winner of the Greater China A division will be determined on April 7.
As the first professional-grade esports competition in Web3 history, the MATR1X FIRE Asia Masters spans the Japan-Korea, Southeast Asia, and Greater China regions, with a total prize pool exceeding $100,000 USD. Centered around MATR1X FIRE—the first Web3 FPS mobile shooter game—which has surpassed 1.2 million downloads globally. GEDA, one of the co-organizers, is a globally renowned esports organization that has previously hosted major events including League of Legends, PUBG, and esports at the Asian Games.
Public data shows the tournament attracted significant attention. The Japan-Korea finals achieved 280,000 impressions on Twitter, with live viewership reaching 150,000. The Greater China B finals also garnered 200,000 Twitter impressions and 80,000 live views.
