TechFlow News, Fox News reporter Eleanor Terrett said on X that she sought comment from the U.S. State Department regarding the arrest of Tigran Gambaryan, Binance's head of financial crime compliance, in Nigeria.
The U.S. State Department stated: "Our highest priority is the safety and security of U.S. citizens abroad. We are aware of reports that a U.S. citizen has been detained in Nigeria. When U.S. citizens are detained overseas, the department works to provide all appropriate assistance. Due to privacy considerations, we have no further comment."
