TechFlow news — According to Newsis, the Korean National Police Agency announced today that it has sent a telegram through the Interpol National Central Bureau of the Republic of Korea to the General Secretariat of Interpol, stating: "We request the Secretariat's attention and support for the extradition of the subject to Korea."
The South Korean Ministry of Justice stated: "We have not yet received official notification from Montenegro. Notification will only be issued after the repatriation decision is confirmed. The Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Police Agency are working together to secure repatriation rights."
Earlier report: The Supreme Court of Montenegro overturned the March 5 ruling by Podgorica’s Higher Court regarding the extradition of Kwon and referred the case back to the original court.
It is reported that the appellate court determined South Korea's extradition request, dated March 29 last year, was filed earlier than the U.S. request on April 3.
