TechFlow news, an official from Indonesia's cryptocurrency regulatory agency Bappebti has urged the country's finance minister to reconsider the tax rate on digital assets.
Currently, cryptocurrencies in Indonesia are classified as commodities and therefore subject to both value-added tax and income tax. Indonesian Ministry of Finance spokesperson Dwi Astuti stated that they welcome public input and said the taxation issue "will certainly be discussed internally."
