TechFlow news, according to The Block, io.net, a DePIN protocol built on Solana, will launch the first phase of its points rewards program on March 1. Named Ignition, the program will run through April 28 and will reward points based on the number of GPUs users contribute to the network.
When asked whether the rewarded points would convert into io.net's native token IO, io.net founder and CEO Ahmad Shadid declined to comment, but stated that the token is expected to launch on April 28.
io.net said its upcoming Ignition rewards program marks the first step toward decentralizing the platform and transferring governance control to the community.
