TechFlow reports that MATR1X FIRE, the first Web3 FPS mobile game to secure $20 million in funding, has announced the launch of the world's first professional Web3 esports tournament—the MATR1X FIRE Asia Masters Championship. The event is organized in partnership with GEDA, a renowned organizer that has previously hosted major esports events including League of Legends, PUBG, and the Asian Games esports competitions. This marks the first professional-grade esports event in Web3 history.
The MATR1X FIRE Asia Masters Championship features four regional divisions: Mainland China (co-organized by BGA and GEDA), Hong Kong-Taiwan, Japan-South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Registration for the competition is now officially open at https://geda.gg/.
The tournament consists of two stages: online qualifiers in March and an offline grand final in April. One champion team from each of the four regions will advance to the finals, where they will compete for the global title at the Hong Kong Web3 Festival main venue from April 8–9, 2024.
The total prize pool exceeds $100,000 USD. The championship-winning team will receive a YATC Champion Trophy NFT with a floor price of 30 ETH. Additionally, MATR1X FIRE’s global trial version has achieved outstanding results, surpassing one million downloads and 455,000 on-chain addresses—ranking first among Web3 games. Its NFT series has achieved a total trading volume exceeding $110,000,000 USD.
Supported by leading Asian communities and key opinion leaders (KOLs), the tournament will be globally livestreamed via platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, and covered extensively across media channels. The event is expected to generate over 1,000,000 views, delivering an unprecedented experience for esports fans worldwide.
