TechFlow news, according to updated data from the official website of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the virtual asset trading platform license application submitted by Huobi HK has been withdrawn. Information shows that the company name submitted by Huobi HK for operating a virtual asset trading platform is "HBGL Hong Kong Limited," with the application submitted on February 20, 2024, and subsequently withdrawn on February 23. According to SFC disclosure, reasons for license applications being returned, rejected, or withdrawn include but are not limited to: applications returned by the SFC due to incompleteness and/or unresolved significant issues; and applications that have been rejected or withdrawn.
To date, the number of applicants whose virtual asset trading platform license applications have been withdrawn or returned, as published by the Hong Kong SFC, stands at four—apart from Huobi HK, they include Ammbr, BitHarbour, and Meex.
