TechFlow reports that Ripple has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Standard Custody & Trust Co. as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its U.S. regulatory licenses, aiming to obtain a New York trust charter.
Ripple declined to disclose the terms of the transaction with Standard Custody & Trust, which is still awaiting approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services. Once approved, Ripple will be authorized to conduct cryptocurrency custody and settlement services.
