TechFlow news: South Korean media reported that prosecutors are investigating the gaming company WeMade.
It is alleged that WeMade's virtual asset "WEMIX" evaded reporting obligations for virtual assets and gained profits beyond legal limits.
In addition, WeMade is accused of building a P2E ecosystem based on "WEMIX 3.0," which may be illegal.
Prosecutors are particularly focused on WeMade's virtual asset exchange "Phenix" and virtual asset wallet "PlayWallet" for not providing users with personal private keys, potentially violating the Specific Financial Information Act. WeMade stated it will actively cooperate with the relevant investigation.
