TechFlow news, Pixels, a social Web3 game built on Ronin Network, announced on X: "We've evolved our thinking about in-game tokens and have made the strategic decision to focus on PIXEL while phasing out BERRY. All BERRY holders will receive proportional PIXEL rewards based on their BERRY holdings. To maintain a fair playing field, BERRY will be replaced by an off-chain token, effective immediately."
Regarding BERRY holders, Pixels stated: "To be as fair as possible to the community, we are committed to rewarding BERRY holders with PIXEL in proportion to their BERRY balance. This reward will be handled within the game but will reflect both on-chain and off-chain BERRY balances. In-game, BERRY will be replaced by a new off-chain currency called 'coin'."
Players will later have the opportunity to exchange PIXEL for 'coin' to gain gameplay advantages. Users holding BERRY tokens within the game will automatically receive PIXEL tokens. For those holding BERRY outside the game, they must open the Pixels dashboard and navigate to the exchange page to swap their BERRY for PIXEL. The earlier users convert BERRY to PIXEL, the higher the conversion rate. The exchange ratio is 1,000 BERRY : 7.6175 PIXEL.
