TechFlow news, Gnosis Chain announced it will shut down the Validator Incentive Program (Gnosis VIP) in April 2024, citing reasons including inability to accurately identify participating nodes, as well as high engineering costs and risks.
After the conclusion of the Gnosis Builders initiative, remaining program funds have been returned to the Gnosis Treasury for future ecosystem enhancements. Prior to shutdown, a rewards claim portal will be launched, allowing eligible validators to claim their rewards.
Earlier reports indicated that Gnosis Chain had allocated $5 million to the Gnosis VIP, already reaching over 120,000 validators across 60 countries and regions, with a goal of achieving 180 by year-end.
