TechFlow reported, citing Cointelegraph and data from cryptocurrency tax software provider CoinLedger, that in 2023, crypto investors realized an average net gain of $887.60 from selling cryptocurrencies, a "stark contrast" to 2022 when several crypto firms collapsed and investors lost billions. In 2022, the median loss for crypto investors was $7,102.
CoinLedger's data is based on an analysis of its 500,000 users, 80% of whom are located in the United States, with others from Australia, Canada, and additional countries.
