TechFlow reported, according to a ruling released on Monday, a judge from the Supreme Court of British Columbia has determined that the province's power utility B.C. Hydro's suspension of cryptocurrency mining projects is justified.
In his decision, Justice Michael Tammen stated that the ban, initially imposed in December 2022, was reasonable, non-discriminatory, and within the scope permitted by the province's Utilities Commission Act. Conifex, however, emphasized that it views the ongoing ban as a missed opportunity for the province.
