TechFlow news, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, a complex scheme defrauding the Patterson Joint Unified School District has been revealed, led by senior officials Jeffrey Menge and Eric Drabert, who exploited district resources for illegal cryptocurrency mining.
In addition to the mining operation, Menge profited personally from district vehicles, including selling Chevrolet trucks purchased at low prices and using a Ford Transit van for personal purposes. The misappropriated funds—ranging from $1 million to $1.5 million for Menge and $250,000 to $300,000 for Drabert—were used for home renovations, luxury vehicles, and other personal expenses.
