TechFlow news, according to the Chifeng Public Security official account, the Economic Crime Investigation Detachment of Yuanbaoshan District Public Security Bureau in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia has cracked a virtual currency platform传销 (pyramid scheme) case. The platform is suspected of conducting pyramid scheme activities using virtual currencies.
According to investigations, this virtual currency platform operated from Beijing and targeted the entire country, featuring a tightly organized structure and novel criminal methods.
By the time of the incident, the platform had accumulated over 18,000 registered members across 13 provinces and municipalities, with transaction volume exceeding 2 billion yuan. The case is currently under further investigation.
