TechFlow reports that on February 1, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Municipal Government Affairs Administration Bureau, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China jointly released the "Beijing Municipality Further Strengthened Energy Conservation Implementation Plan (2024 Edition)." The plan requires continuous efforts to rectify virtual currency "mining" activities, enhance monitoring and analysis as well as categorized remediation of mining operations, and resolutely eliminate virtual currency mining activities in Beijing in accordance with laws and regulations.
