TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, UK law enforcement agencies have seized $1.7 billion worth of Bitcoin.
Prosecutor Gillian Jones KC stated that Jian Wen attempted to use her BTC holdings to purchase luxury goods and real estate in London, including a seven-bedroom mansion with a swimming pool in Hampstead listed for $30 million. The purchase never went through because Wen could not explain the source of her cryptocurrency assets.
UK law enforcement raided a property rented by Jian Wen and Zhimin Qian, seizing various devices containing more than 61,000 BTC, which was valued at approximately $1.7 billion in 2021.
