TechFlow news: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik published a blog post titled "My Childhood is Over" on his 30th birthday (January 31), summarizing his past life experiences.
Vitalik stated: "My early work and life experiences (from 2013 to 2017) made me realize that I have responsibilities toward the world. I need to be conscious about how I act. Living passively, allowing myself to merely become part of other people's plans, is not a safe or blameless way to live. As one of the mysterious few, if I didn't act, the cryptocurrency space would either stagnate or be dominated by those driven purely by speculation. Therefore, I decided to become more cautious when endorsing others' plans and more careful when creating my own."
Vitalik summarized three lessons he learned during his growth:
1. Greed is not the only form of selfishness. Cowardice, laziness, resentment, and other traits can also cause harm.
2. People can have preferences, but you don't need complex scientific justifications to claim your preferences are absolutely and universally good.
3. Value the importance of habits.
Vitalik also mentioned that one of the wonderful aspects of cryptocurrency's global nature is that it has provided him with a window into various fascinating cultures and subcultures around the world, and how they interact with the crypto space.
