TechFlow news, the ASEAN Foundation has partnered with tech giant Microsoft to launch the AI Teach initiative, aimed at advancing artificial intelligence education across Southeast Asia. The program will provide AI fluency training for 6,200 educators in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) systems across the region, while also working to reform the TVET system. A primary goal is to enhance AI skills among the workforce, particularly in Indonesia and Malaysia, improving employment prospects and educational opportunities for 400,000 people in these two countries. Additionally, the program will introduce participants to career essentials on generative AI learning pathways from Microsoft and LinkedIn.
"By fostering innovation and equipping individuals with practical AI skills, we aim to make a significant contribution to economic and technological growth in ASEAN," said Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation, in a statement.
