TechFlow reports that open-source AI research organization Nous Research has announced on Twitter the launch of Cortex, a subnet on the decentralized AI network Bittensor (TAO), aiming to provide a new evaluation system for open-source models.
According to the announcement, the Cortex subnet is composed of fresh synthetic data continuously generated by GPT-4, enabling models to be tested using novel and unpredictable high-quality data. This new system aims to celebrate and reward creators of public open-source models that genuinely meet user needs, leveraging Bittensor's built-in incentive structure.
