TechFlow news, according to The Block, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced on Thursday two strategic hires aimed at strengthening compliance and global expansion.
One is Gilles BianRosa, who will serve as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer, reporting directly to Kraken CEO David Ripley. BianRosa previously held chief product officer roles at European neobank N26, audio platform SoundCloud, and tech company Samsung Electronics.
The other is Marcus Hughes, who will take on the role of Head of Global Regulatory Strategy at Kraken. He previously served as Coinbase’s Managing Director for Europe and General Counsel for International Expansion for a year and a half.
"As we prepare for the next phase of growth in the crypto market, we need to ensure we can quickly adapt to rapidly evolving market trends while navigating an increasingly complex and diverse regulatory landscape," Ripley said in a statement. "We will continue innovating, launching new products, entering new markets, and improving our offerings, all while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across the multiple jurisdictions in which we operate."
