TechFlow reported, according to The Block, Dymension CEO Yishay Harel said in an interview that although Dymension is currently in testnet phase, it is very close to mainnet launch.
To date, 500 tokens have been created on the testnet, 1,000 rollapps listed, and 13,600 rollapps deployed. Current rollapps include applications in gaming, gambling, and NFTs.
Yishay Harel believes that if users bridge valuable assets to a rollapp, that rollapp will receive greater incentives. The team is creating such a cycle, hoping users will bridge assets to Dymension and enable the ecosystem to grow continuously based on demand. When incentives run out, people may move to the next big project, but every project should have a marketing budget, and if the project is good, it will eventually become profitable.
Dymension is designed to support a large number of application-specific rollups (commonly known as rollapps).
