TechFlow news: GMEE Token announced on X that the GMEE token contract on Polygon suffered unauthorized access to its GitLab account several hours ago, resulting in 600 million GMEE tokens being stolen. The attacker subsequently swapped the tokens for Ethereum and MATIC.
The official statement said the breach only affected the proprietary team's token reserves, and no community-held assets were compromised. The team has now blocked all unauthorized access to the token contract, initiated a comprehensive security review of all existing programs and contracts, temporarily suspended liquidity provision across all DEXs, and is cooperating with law enforcement to initiate legal proceedings.
