TechFlow news: The Arbitrum Foundation has announced a collaboration with Offchain Labs to launch the Arbitrum Expansion Program and the Arbitrum Developer Guild.
The Arbitrum Expansion Program offers teams an easier, self-serve way to launch customized Arbitrum Orbit chains. This program enables any project to deploy its own customized version of the Arbitrum technology stack, including Arbitrum L2s that settle directly to Ethereum and Arbitrum L3s on non-Arbitrum chains.
A key requirement for participating in the Arbitrum Expansion Program is contributing a portion of profits back to the Arbitrum ecosystem, and ensuring that Rollup deployments are exclusively tied to Ethereum or chains secured by Ethereum.
Under this program, Orbit chains can be freely customized as L2s or L3s, including direct settlement to Ethereum, while using Arbitrum One and Nova as settlement layers for L3s remains free and permissionless.
