TechFlow reports that Delphi Labs and the Astroport Foundation have launched a new inscription platform called Asteroid for the Cosmos Hub network.
Asteroid uses Cosmos transaction call data to write new tokens into existence, known as "CFT-20s." On Tuesday, Asteroid contributors released the first CFT-20 token, Asteroids (ROIDS), as a proof of concept. The token has a total supply of 100 million, with each ROIDS token trading at $0.0045, resulting in a market cap of $4.5 million.
Delphi Labs highlighted Asteroid's potential as a "meta-protocol," with applications extending beyond images and tokens.
