TechFlow News: Binance has officially opened to the public in Thailand. Binance Thailand stated that users can now trade in Thai baht and conduct local currency deposits and withdrawals through integration with the local banking system.
It is reported that Binance Thailand received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand two months ago, initially launching via an invitation-only model with plans to open to the general public in 2024. The exchange is jointly operated by Binance Capital Management and Gulf Innova, a subsidiary of Thai energy company Gulf Energy. Bitkub currently dominates the market, holding 77% of the market share. Binance aims to become part of Thailand's largest blockchain ecosystem by contributing to the digitalization of the Thai economy and driving growth.
