TechFlow news, Elon Musk's X plans to launch peer-to-peer payments and additional AI tools in 2024. However, the company has quietly removed the feature allowing Twitter Blue subscribers to set NFTs as profile pictures.
This feature was originally introduced in January 2022 by Twitter's former management team, enabling subscribers to set Ethereum-based NFTs as their profile pictures. Currently, X has removed all descriptions regarding the NFT profile picture feature from its X Premium support page.
Although some users still retain NFT avatars, it remains unclear whether X will eventually remove these avatars entirely. While the value of some high-value NFT tokens has declined, according to data from NFT aggregator CryptoSlam, the NFT market has shown signs of recovery in recent months, with trading volume exceeding $1.6 billion.
