TechFlow reported that Digital Currency Group (DCG) announced in a tweet that it has completed repayment of all short-term loans to Genesis.
In total, DCG has repaid over $1 billion in debt over the past year and a half, including $700 million paid to institutional investors and cryptocurrency brokerage Genesis, settling all current outstanding obligations.
Genesis encountered financial difficulties following the collapse of the FTX exchange. In November 2022, DCG took over $1 billion in debt from Genesis. Genesis filed for bankruptcy protection in January 2023, owing $3.6 billion.
