TechFlow reports that BitMEX is set to launch physical bitcoin to the Moon from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on January 8, 2024, with an expected arrival date of February 23, 2024. The bitcoin will remain permanently on the lunar surface, and the initiative invites the crypto community and future generations to interact by sending personal messages and their satoshis to the Moon.
This collaborative project with Astrobotic, Bitcoin Magazine, and Oxcart Assembly aims to demonstrate the potential of Bitcoin and blockchain technology in establishing borderless financial systems beyond Earth.
