TechFlow reported, according to Jinshi Data, the U.S. unemployment rate for December was recorded at 3.7%, compared to an expected 3.80% and a previous value of 3.70%, lower than market expectations and unchanged from the prior month.
U.S. non-farm payroll employment increased by 216,000 in December, seasonally adjusted, surpassing the expected increase of 170,000 and the previous figure of 199,000, marking the highest level since September 2023.
Following the release of the U.S. non-farm payroll data, the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) rose nearly 40 points in quick succession, currently trading at 103.02.
