TechFlow, Starknet has updated its 2024 roadmap, announcing that transaction fees will be reduced on the v0.13.0 testnet in the first quarter. The network will also introduce a new transaction type, v3 transactions, allowing users to pay fees using STRK.
Additionally, Starknet will launch a community vote on January 10 for deploying these updates on the mainnet.
Furthermore, Starknet plans to leverage EIP-4844 to reduce Ethereum Layer 1 data availability costs and intends to introduce a transaction fee market in version v0.14.0 to accelerate transaction processing.
