TechFlow news, Christine Kim, Vice President of Research at Galaxy, summarized the 177th Ethereum Core Developers Execution Layer meeting (ACDE). This week, developers set tentative dates for activating the Cancun/Deneb upgrade on all three public Ethereum testnets.
The testnet upgrade schedule is as follows: Goerli fork on January 17, 2023; Sepolia fork on January 31; Holesky fork on February 7.
These dates may change, as developers might need to update them in the coming weeks due to unexpected bugs and issues arising from client releases.
Developers also discussed the performance of a second Goerli shadow fork, precompile address ranges for Layer 2, expectations for the Prague/Electra upgrades, and confirmed that the next ACDE meeting will take place on January 4.
