TechFlow news — OP Labs has published a decentralization roadmap for the Optimism ecosystem, with the ultimate goal of advancing as quickly as possible to Stage Two, ensuring that no group of participants can "even collectively publish a state root other than the code's output."
In Stage One, Optimism Governance has already approved a 14-member Safety Council responsible for securing the Superchain. A key objective in 2024 is to transition this Safety Council to independently manage the upgrade keys for the ecosystem under the direction of Optimism Governance, independent of the Optimism Foundation.
