Previously, Google and Amazon have agreed to invest $2 billion and $4 billion in Anthropic, respectively.
According to The Information, citing two people familiar with the matter, AI company Anthropic is in talks to raise $750 million in a venture capital round led by Menlo Ventures. Excluding this investment, the two-year-old AI startup would be valued at $15 billion—more than triple its valuation earlier this year. The funding round has not yet been finalized. A third person familiar with the matter said the final valuation could reach as high as $18 billion.
