TechFlow reports that Nina Rong, Head of Ecosystem Development at the Arbitrum Foundation, has submitted a proposal to the Celo community. The proposal suggests that Celo adopt the Arbitrum Orbit technology stack—based on Arbitrum OP technology—to build customizable L2 and L3 chains. Rong emphasized that the Arbitrum Foundation team has been closely following cLabs' proposal for Celo's transition to an Ethereum L2, and by offering the Arbitrum Orbit stack as a strategic direction, welcomes Celo back into the Ethereum ecosystem.
Previously, Polygon and Matter Labs also presented their respective zero-knowledge-based solutions to the Celo community. Celo stated it plans to make a decision by mid-January, allowing community members sufficient time to evaluate the various proposals.
