TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved bitcoin futures platform Bitnomial's registration as a derivatives clearing organization in the United States, allowing it to clear margined futures and options contracts. This makes Bitnomial the first and only crypto-native exchange with a full suite of U.S. derivatives exchange, clearinghouse, and brokerage licenses—meaning customers can gain actual ownership of digital assets on a leveraged basis, rather than merely receiving cash payments upon settlement.
Bitnomial has already been authorized to operate as a designated contract market, enabling it to list futures and options contracts, and as a futures commission merchant, allowing it to trade directly with customers.
