TechFlow news, the Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN) announced that blockchain technology will be used to verify the real-name identities of China's 1.4 billion people, with China's Ministry of Public Security leading this initiative called RealDID with support from BSN.
The launch of the RealDID service will allow users to anonymously register and log in to websites using a DID address and private key, ensuring that business data and transactions remain decoupled from personal information, BSN said in a press release, calling it the world's first national-level verified decentralized identity system.
BSN China is operated by China's State Information Center in collaboration with major Chinese tech companies including China Mobile and UnionPay. Its international operations are independently managed by BSN Global, which is reportedly a separate entity protected behind a firewall.
