TechFlow news, the Hong Kong High Court has issued a first-instance ruling in the trademark infringement case between X-Spot Global Limited and Huobi Global Limited. The court accepted the plaintiff X-Spot's claims, finding that Huobi Global's use of the "Huǒbì" or "火幣" trademark could cause public confusion, leading people to mistakenly believe that the plaintiff is the registered owner of the trademark and the driving force behind the cryptocurrency business.
Earlier reports indicated that X-Spot, controlled by Li Lin, filed the lawsuit against Huobi Global in June 2023, alleging trademark infringement.
