TechFlow reports that cross-chain infrastructure Wormhole has announced Queries, a new tool enabling application developers to quickly and cost-effectively retrieve any on-chain data on demand.
Queries offers sub-one-second latency and reduces gas fees by 84%, utilizing a "pull" model that is more efficient than traditional "push" models. This unlocks new possibilities for developers, such as enabling real-time cross-chain price feeds in DeFi and dynamic cross-chain game mechanics in gaming applications. Queries also addresses the fragmentation problem of cross-chain digital identities by supporting a unified identity system, thereby enhancing user experience across DeFi and social platforms.
