TechFlow reported, according to CoinDesk, the Worldcoin Foundation has announced a $5 million community grant program called "Wave0" to support the development of the Worldcoin protocol.
The foundation will commit $5 million across three grant categories, with payments made in WLD, the native token of the Worldcoin protocol.
Grants are not only aimed at developers but also intended to foster community engagement and raise awareness about the importance of the technology's work, including addressing income inequality and governance. Funding will be awarded to projects focused on research and development, such as the intersection of privacy and biometrics, as well as those proposing use cases leveraging Worldcoin and World ID.
